📔Import an existing wallet with the seed phrase
If you're looking to add an existing wallet to your Backpack, there are a few easy steps you can follow to import it using your secret recovery phrase.
The Backpack team will never ask you for your seed phrase or private key. Your seed phrase is the most important piece of information for accessing your wallet, and if you lose it, you may lose access to your wallet permanently. It is your responsibility to keep your seed phrase and private key safe and secure. We recommend that you store it in a safe place and never share it with anyone. Please be aware of phishing attempts or scam messages that may ask you to disclose your seed phrase or private key. The Backpack team will never ask you for this information.
Open your Backpack and click on the 'Wallet' button.
Click the '+' icon to add a new wallet.
Continue using your current username or create a new user
Select your network and then click on 'Import an existing wallet'.
Choose 'Other recovery phrase'.
Paste your secret recovery phrase and enter a name for your wallet.
Select which wallet you'd like to import
